<p>I thought it was so he&#8217;d have an excuse to come to Seattle, explain himself, and play stuff from his new solo album. Well, he did do all of that in the Carter Subaru Mountain Music Lounge (the video&#8217;s up on our homepage right now,) but here&#8217;s the real story of his departure from BNL:</p>
<p><a href='http://blogs.1037themountain.com/files/2010/09/steven-page-on-BNL.mp3'>steven page on BNL</a></p>
<p>His new solo album, Page One, is coming out at the end of September and a tour will follow, so I&#8217;m pretty sure he&#8217;ll be back.</p>
<p><a href="http://blogs.1037themountain.com/files/2010/09/DSC_0004.jpg" rel="lightbox[11166]"><img src="http://blogs.1037themountain.com/files/2010/09/DSC_0004-300x214.jpg" alt="" title="DSC_0004" width="300" height="214" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-11177" /></a></p>
<p>Just to satisfy my own curiosity, I asked Steven about the background of one of my favorite BNL songs, One Week:</p>
<p><a href='http://blogs.1037themountain.com/files/2010/09/steven-page-on-one-week.mp3'>steven page on one week</a></p>
<p>And for old time&#8217;s sake, here&#8217;s a really cool acoustic version of that song, recorded in Ed Robertson&#8217;s bathroom:</p>
<p><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/69cR9J-V-Qg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/69cR9J-V-Qg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object></p>
<p>Finally, this may or not be renowned actor Morgan Freeman covering One Week:</p>
<p><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lTd6lYHoY-I?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lTd6lYHoY-I?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object></p>
