Quickpost

Good Gah! This town is gorgeous! I mean, I’ve been coming up here for years to hike and kayak off and on but a solid week or so of the fall colors, sunshine and beautiful grays are almost overwhelming.
I’ve been trying to get to the Sound for over 20 years now and until now have never had the right opportunity to move here. So for the last 20 years I’ve meandered everywhere except here.
I’m a non radio, radio guy that has been working in LA, Atlanta, San Francisco, but most recently I’ve been living and boarding winters in Park City, Utah. PC is another cool place to hang as it has 8 different ski/boarding locations within 10 minutes of my house… but I digress… Anyway, while I wasn’t board bumming I worked with Alternative and Triple A stations across the country so there was a bit of travel, which was pretty cool as well.
I got into radio because I like sound systems, huge music libraries and an unwavering cavalcade of new music that shows up every day in the mail. Being one of those talking heads was just a way to be able to facilitate my need for all that stuff I just mentioned.
My favorites bands are The Verve, U2, Spoon, Pretenders, Silversun Pickups, The Shins, CSN, The Rolling Stones, 10,000 Maniacs, Stone Roses, Ryan Adams, The Raveonettes, Radiohead, REM, The Ocean Blue, Police, Great Northern, Moby, Zeppelin, Smiths, Cars, Kings of Leon, Kasabian, James, Elton John (pre 1976), Duffy, The Who, The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Tom Petty, The Clash, Springsteen, Arcade Fire, the living Elvis and and… oh Hell those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head! My head hurts.
As far as being here on the Mountain, everybody I’ve met so far has been really nice and accommodating. The station itself has really cool people working on it. Shawn is a super music passionate and John may be the nicest guy with a good sense of humor in King County.
That’s it for now. The sun is peaking through… I’m gonna go catch the Ferry to Bainbridge.
