For die-hard Tom Waits fans, a late-August trip to Los Angeles might be in the works. 

On August 30, Tom Waits will be awarded with…

… a bus tour. 

Yes, that’s right. The L.A.-based group “Esotouric” has put together “Crawling Down Cahuenga,” a four hour tour of bars, restaurants, venues, studios and other places Waits frequented during some of the formative years of his career. 

The tour will take place on August 30. Tickets are available at esotouric.com.

David Smay, author of the 33 1/3 series book on Waits’ Swordfishtrombones will lead the tour, telling tales of Waits’ tumbles with the LAPD, his relationship with Kathleen Brennan, and much more.

The group hosting the tour, Esotouric, is based around exploring L.A. in many more ways than one. Another popular bus ride is the Black Dahlia tour, where passengers try to solve the Black Dahlia Murder Mystery while seeing some of the great sites related to the history of the case.

Certainly a different way to view L.A.!
