That’s right! I’m back at The Mountain with exciting news about this year’s New Music Sampler.
I’ve got the master copy in my hands (as seen above), and we’re in the process of putting together copies for you! Expect to hear great music from the likes of Brett Dennen, Carbon Leaf, and many more emerging artists.
I was going to hide the disc from Shawn, but she managed to find it… from what I could discern, she plans on leaking songs in the next few weeks right here on the blog. She also plans on playing tracks on the air each week leading up to the disc’s release. So listen in for that!
Earlier today, Shawn played a track from upcoming artist Angel Taylor, whose song “Make me Believe” is on this year’s CD. Angel’s a pop singer-songwriter who has been seen with the likes of Adele, Brett Dennen, and Brandi Carlile.

It’s so great to have DJ Longstockings (aka Kat) back at The Mountain. Today she proof read the liner notes for the New Music Sampler and found several inconsistencies your MD had overlooked. The MD cannot be bothered with spelling!

Hi Shawn,
I’m so glad you got to visit the beautiful beaches around Westport! I’d like to extend an invitation (my treat) for you and guests of your choosing to stay two nights at our vacation rental in Grayland. It’s just 3 or 4 miles south of the Chateau. It’s a great house with a sauna and outdoor shower. You can see all the details at our website and find a date that suits you (availability calendar on the Rental Info page of the website). I think it will have to be this Fall because we are booked most of the summer but I think you’ll find that it’s a great place to go all year round! Please let me know if you’re interested. We’re always trying to find ways to let folks know about how great the area is!
