As I’m sure you can see in the picture, last night was all about Billy Joel and Elton John at Key Arena! Wild, raucous…

The way different people describe Elton John is like how they might describe their reaction to a painting – he’s classic, different, innovative… and you’re not quite sure how to interpret him all the time.

In that vein, I’ve asked different folks to weigh in on the show last night, give us their perspective of the concert.

Intern Brittany checked in with me this morning with her account of the show:

Elton and Billy started a little before 8 pm, which was almost right on time. The pianos came up first – right up through the floor. Elton and Billy came on stage at the same time and began the show with “Your Song”. Both singers performed, first together followed by E.J alone, then B.J and finally finishing by slamming through a bunch of hits together. Billy Joel wowed the crowd with a cover of “Purple Haze” while Elton John had everyone on their feet during “Philadelphia Freedom”. The crowd (which was a sight in itself) consisted of people of all ages – from 2 to 82.

What did you think? Are you going to the show tonight? Comment me with your thoughts, friends!
